Web Server Port Help

Ok I run apache in windows.

I had a webserver when i had road runner, using port 8080 on my router, worked fine. Now I changed to bellsouth DSL and i also got another computer which is the server, the dsl line goes into that box and the router is connected there as well. Now, i wanna run my webserver again from my computer (not the server) but it doesnt seem to be working, i have the ports open for 8080 and 80 and 8000 and still doesnt work..any suggestions?

Check and make sure bell isnt blocking those ports, I know some, like Cox does block ports.

Just use a port not commonly used for web serving. For example, I use port 19000 for my webserver. You might have to set up DNS forwarding (I think thats what its called?) to avoid having to type http://www.mydomain.com:portnumber to view the site.

Also bellsouth uses poppe and dynamic ips. Thats the reason I shyed away from getting their dsl service after dtv went out of busniess.
