The (un)Official Overclockers Slang Thread

Ok, there's lots of slang out there. Of course, we know what 95% of it means, but its just for the heck of it, lets post all the OC-SLANG / ABBREVIATIONS we know and use commonly in the forums!

Examples:

Celly = Celeron
Pally = Palamino
Mobo = Motherboard
Dibs = Someone calling the first right to something
YGPM = You've Got Private Message
YGM = You've Got Mail

Post all you can type or think of! Let the others get the ones you miss!

Willy= Willamette P4
Woody=Northwood P4
Tually= Tualatin P3
Dually= Dual CPU system/ motherboard
Moggy= Duron Morgan.
Celery = Celeron.
Yatta = something like, I *DID* it, in a euphoric sexual sense, mythically the mystic force that holds all overclocks together or an expression of being one with that force.
Volt Mod = Voltage modification to raise core voltage for GPU or CPU, or possibly to improve a motherboards voltage distribution.
Hoot Chute = Centrifugal blower mod named after Hoot.
Mod = modification, either electronic or physical to improve performance or cooling, or just to look way cool.

That's all I can think of at the moment.

YMMV = "Your Milage May Very...Meaning that even though one person got x results with x components/software, your results might be different even with same components/software.

teh lose = not good, bad

teh suck = pretty much the same as teh lose

that's all I can think of right now

Stuff starting with MO-

Mod has three meanings, two of which are used here:

I made a case mod... - Modification.
The mods will warn you... -Moderator.

MoD = Ministry of Defence

MO = money order

MISC:

USPS- United States Postal Service

upped = raised (usually refering to voltage)

BUMP = posting in a thread for the sole purpose of 'bumping' it back to the top of the threads on a forum.

hella = ultimate, supreme or the best (ie. hella cool or hella sweet)

SN/ shirt ninja = ONI (AKA: sig ninja)
