i have problems with oc´ing my 1.8a b0. any help is appreciated.

my quest on oc´ing ist to first of all go to the real limits of my 2 sticks of corsair xms pc3500 cl2 256mb.

i´d like to know the most aggressive settings for those sticks on the P4PE.
once i have those settings which seem a magic quest for me never to be solved ( although i checked the forums.....but really nothing helped me ) i´d like to know where i could back up with the setting once i found the limits to my cpu/ram.

to get a better picture of what i am saying:
my goal is to oc the most i can ( working in reasonable levels - for eg. no too high vcore.... )
cooling is not an issue here. thats for sure.

first i want to get my memory settings as fast as possible, then go for the fastest settings on m cpu. if i hit a barrier and i can resolve the problem back on the memory - i wanna know what memory setting i can go back with.

i want to give the cpu as much bandwidth as possible to my memory.

thx for your time

I ran 2-2-2-5, FSB was about 150 and memory was 400 on a P4 2.8, 533 with a stock fan for about 1/2 hour. The cpu was running about 3195. It was stable and the cpu stayed cool enough. But I will have to play with it more later. The 9500Pro was kicking out most of the heat!

I have a very similar setup. My old 1.8a is running at 133fsb @1.55Vcore. I can get it to operate at 140FSB but I have to set the Vcore in the Bios to 1.65. That means that it will actually be at 1.75 which is not good. My memory timings are set to stock.

I ran my P4 1.8A b0 @2610 , 145FSB, 1.70V paint trick ( but the mobo always report 1.56V ? ) Memory Mushkin PC3200 at CL 2 -6 -3 -3 with 2.70V.

The comp. can load Windows at 150FSB with random crashes.
Above 145 FSB is not stable in games.

My suggestion for PC3500 ? Set the DDR voltage in BIOS at 2.70V, set the memory timing at CL 2 -6 -2 -2 or CL 2 -6 -3 -3 , and finally increase FSB by 5MHz increments until it crash. When it crash for the first time, you can add more VCORE. If it crash again and again, then you know the memory is holding you back.

Happy investigating...

With the 150 FSB, 400 Mem @ 2-2-2-5 and the 9500Pro OCed 326 x306, I got 14699 in 3D Mark2001 SE!:D

Yes, but only by raising the FSB. You already have the max ratio on the memory. So only the FSB is left. Without overvolting, the best I can get is 152 FSB.
