be6-II +Celeron S370 + MS6905 experiences?

Do people have memories of experiences, good or bad, with this combination? I'm failing utterly to get an be6-II v1.0 board to work, using various combination of:

C366 (mend), C400 (mend), C850 (coppermine)
MS6905 v1.1, v2.0 slotket.

According to the person I bought it from, who I believe, the board worked perfectly with a PIII 550e.

I've also tried various RAM sticks and three different power supplies. From browsing around, the boards have worked for many people with similar CPU, slocket and RAM, tho I haven't seen much about my specific combination.

It might have just failed, or been damaged, or maybe my seating techniques suck, does anyone know of anything that's likely to be particularly tricky with these boards?

Thanks
