Hard Drive OS backup

I looked around and didnt see anyone had done this so if ya did just correct me. What with OCing and Viruses and the like sometime ya gonna have a hard drive crash on ya. There are tons of restore thingys and stuff to recover but sometimes you are in a hurry and maybe ya wanna save those 8 gigs of mp3's you got downloaded. I used this system just lately as we had a CS match coming up at like 9:00 and at 8:45 had a major crash from something. Anyway all I do is keep an extra hard drive in my system or in a drawer whereever ya wanna keep it and put all the stuff I dont wanna lose (like mp3's) and a complete fresh OS on it. Its only a 13 gig but holds the important stuff so I dont have to look for it when reformatting or something. Plug er up and Bingo! you are back in business in about 5 minutes. Kinda like having an emergency backup ready all the time. Then you can ghost it or whatever on your regular drive when you get time and still have all of your stuff in one place without having to look for discs and the like! Just keep it updated if you have a file you want to keep and instant back online!
