Nice new ASUS Dx mobo

To bad it won't let me fold on it. I have the setup totally stable except when I fold. I have the latest nforce drivers and the latest vid drivers. The sys is completely fine until I start to fold. This ****es me off because it is at 166 fsb that I am just trying out before I really push it, and it is totally useless to fold on. By the way, it does the same thing when I put my 1600+ to stock or when I up the voltages. The timings are not agressive. The only thing that I "tweaked" is the fsb, but again, it still acts up at 133fsb.

How do you have your ram timings set? Don't set by SPD!!! Set manually to like 7-4-4-2.5.

Tried it, no luck. This time it froze even quicker. I'm stumped. It just doesn't want to fold. Could it be the mem? It's Kingston 2100. Cheapo but it works.

Do you have ANY other ram to try in the board? How many sticks are you running? Did you try EVERY slot?

tried some crucial 2100 ecc, no-go. Only one stick in-1st slot. didn't try any other slots, but will. No $$ for new mem

Guess it's the ram, reset the cmos and left the fsb @133, relaxed the timings to 7-4-4-2.5 and so far so good, no crashes yet. This is the longest it has folded for ....9 frames, wooooooooooooohoooooo. Thnx, guess I have to save up for some better ram

Thnx
