This has been discussed 10 times, do a search for previous threads. I would lock this but alas im not a mod :(

I would think a 9000 128MB or a 9500 64MB would be the best in your price range. Both have their advantages/disadvantages.

However, I would try to either hold out until I had enough for a 9500 128 with the hopes of running it as a 9700, or for a good Ti4200 128 that could be oced to 4600, or as close as possible, speeds.

in your shoes i would scavenge the newegg refurbs every day until i saw a non-gainward 4200 for under 100$, you cant go wrong with that, at CompUSA they have a 4200 for 100$.....otherwise i would get an 8500LE for around 60-80$ they are great deals

and so has GeforceFX, yet somehow threads keep popping up about it.....and most of them have been posted by ?.....not flaming just saying, that really he can ask the question if he wants as the status of the market changes every week...:)

LOL theres a FX thread every 2 seconds.
Best card for a 100 ?? I say GF3 ti-200 or Radeon 8500LE and I imagine that a ti-500 wouldnt be too hard to find find for 100 one with 128mb would rock :D

I'd get a radeon 8500 le too unless you need dual monitors. I'd get a radeon 9000 pro for dual monitors. ti4200 and radeon 9500 are good but cost more then $100. Just stay away from the geforce4 mx's.

I would not go lower than an 8500 LE. Newegg still has them but they won't last forever. The 9000 is a decent card as well and only cost $70. I think Ti 4200 prices are still above $100 but used or refurbed is always an option.

get an 8500 128mb from newegg.com, I got one, and with Vmods, it will do 315/330
