.wmv file extension

Does anybody know a file player that will playback .wmv files. I tried divx, windows media player, and my ati file player none work. What's up with this whacked out file extension?

.wmv should play in windows media player unless you dont have the proper codecs..

And they should auto-download from teh intarweb if you don't have them.

if u haven't already...

check Tools, down to Options, clock the Format tab and check if 'Windows Media file,' 'Windows Media audio/video file,' and 'Video file' have been unchecked somehow.
