Just a question to all u oldtimer overclockers. Will a bigger power supply help me get a higher fsb.

cpu = amd1700 1.47

What matters is the strength of the PSU (can it deliver on its claimed output) and how well your board can regulate and control fluxuations in the power signal. If you have a good PSU (Sparkle/FSP and PCP&C are my choices) with a clean signal to begin with, that makes the job much easier.

For under $100 I recommend the Sparkle/FSP 350w. If you're looking at PSU's over $100, get the PC Power and Cooling Silencer 400 or Turbo Cool 425.
