Just woundering what is the highiest anyone has got out of a amd 1700 pally. Iam going to burn mine till it fries or i hit about 1.7. I just downloaded prime95 and i guess the test u r supose to run is the torture test to burn it in right. The highiest i can get mine is about 1.62 and it still be stable @56c 100% cpu useage.

OS = xp pro
mobo = asus a7v266
cpu = amd1700 1.47
@1.61 vcore 1.85 11x 146/37
temp = 0% cpu 50c 100% cpu 56c
mem = kingston 512 ddr2100
hd = ibm deskstar 7200rpm 40gb
dvd rom + cd rw
soundcard = soundblasterlive
speakers= creative 5.1
vga = geforce3 @ core clock 245 memory clock 560

propably what's holding you back are your temps 56C is very high to be able to stay stable at. lower the temps to around 45C under full load and try again, you'll see that you should be able to hit some higher speeds

You need better cooling (sk7 or slk800?) on that Proc and a stick of PC2700... The average for that chip according to our database is 1704... So it is likely you could hit that speed... What is the stepping on your chip? it is possible your proc can't handle it... overclocking isn't garanteed.

@1733 AGOIA 22week ,did 1733Mhz with alu HSF 1.8v ,57C primestable.But ive replaced it for a Tbred-B 1700+ ;].Doin much better and much cooler ;]]]]

the pally is a bit poo, them temps are just a bit too high for comfort, i'm running at 1.755ghz on an aluminium akasa AK843 (80mmfan) from a tbredA 1700+ @ 48'C full load after 3 hours of prime95, it never gets above that... and i wont let it..
