Question Can a Geforce 2 MX work in an AGP1.0 slot?

My sister has a mobo with an AGP1.0 slot, and I have a spare GF2 MX lying around. Would this card run in the AGP1.0 slot, or does it need AGP2.0 and above?

Yes. Even todays video cards are compliant with AGP 1.0 (2x)

If it's not a PCI-card.
If it fits, it will work.
If it doesn't fit, then don't force it

Definately will work. I can garantee it since my K6-2 500 System is now powered by a GeForce2 MX and it has an AGP 2X 1.0 Slot.

BTW, the motherboard used is the ASUS P5A for anyone concerned.

My ASUS P2B which is a AGP 1.0 works with a Geforce 2 MX.

However I noticed that when the GPU fan was plugged in, I kept on getting constant freezes or like 2 sec then back to normal when doing anything. I unplugged the fan and it worked fine with zero freezes. Oviously it sucked power out of the AGP slot, since the fan's power connector was connected to the AGP Card.

I dont know if you might have this problem, anyway, I dont have to worry about heat because right underneath the AGP card is a PCI slot Fan cooler, that sucks out all the air to outside, so it sucks out the heat direct from the GPU (Still has the heatsink, very thin though, fan removed, since it kinda melted without being plugged in). Plus the PCI Slot Fan is like 2 cm away from the heatsink. No artifacts or freezes.
