it works fine, but for some reason..im using the PC-75 lian li case, and as some of you might know there is a little free space underneath the hard drive cage..so, i mounted it under there...and my computer started freezing, and restarting itself..and all this stuff..overclocked and unoverclocked...do you think the inverter box i mounted under the cage is causing interference?

Do you have a way to shield it? Like some metal to make a little box out of? Those inverters make some high frequency to run the tube with, and maybe it could interfere with the harddrive (though I've not used a CC, I had neons).

Good luck, bud.

I have my CCFL in a modified project box from radio shack. Basically all I had to do was to cut out slots for the wires to go through. I haven't had any trouble with it and I've had it for almost a year.

Good luck,
Scott

hrm, I have my inverter mounted 1/2" above my hard drive....no problems so far...hehe. Running two CCFLs from it as well.....guess i'm just lucky that way.

BTW, it's in a plastic box.....don't think there's any other shielding but the plastic, lol.

alright, so im not actually sure what the problem was, i didnt have enough time to try both ideas, so i did them both at once. i wrapped the inverter about 10 times with aluminum foil, and ran a new molex to the hard drive. it has been running great for 5+ hours, so i think the problem has been solved..thanks
