well, don't be to sad, it lived a long and prosperous life and folded well. He probably went painlessly and is now up in that folding rig happy place way up in the sky. You may never replace him, but you have found another one to ease your pain, and in the long run he may prove more loyal and a better folder to you.

Ouchies.. Look on the bright side though, you got 1.6 GHz replacing it so you have + 900mhz.

Its okay. I knew it'd die on me soon. The fan went busted a while back, and entire casing in the CPU area is kinda molded shut, so I couldn't take it apart.

I've got my eyes set for one of those slim-jim dell latitude ones. I have an L400 at the office, and by God, it is really light as a feather.

Cheers, Flixotide

I suppose it really depends on the fans.

About March we're ditching two old 900 mhz Inspirons.. they've got awesome cooling, and weigh a ton. They'll be folding for sure.

Angry margin taxes killed my folding

Just thought I was going to be happy.. pay day is today, money went into my account.. and woah, it was 450 USD short.

Somethings wrong I figured.. check my tax-slip, and bingo.. I hit the margin tax for 2003... which basically means I'll be making 300 bux less a month this year than I did last year.

So much for computer hobbies in 2003.... so much for extra AMD folding power.

grumpf, Flixotide
