I bought an A7N8X from NewEgg, and it shipped with BIOS 1001g. I am having the same problems as everyone else with the BIOS not holding it's settings, so I want to flash to 1002 now that it's released officially. I started the AsusUpdate program, and being the superstitious person that I am, I selected the option "Save current BIOS to file". However, when I click "Next" the program throws an error message that says something like "Cannot find/load necessary drivers".

Now, I realize that it is not absolutely necessary to save my BIOS, but this may be an indicator that something else is wrong. I did 2 clean installs of Windows XP (not because of this) and I get the same error every time.

Has anybody encountered this problem, or know how to fix it?
