Best Deal on a PSU


Where can I get a good price on a Black Vantec Aluminum VAN-520A 520Watt Silence ATX P4 Power Supply, Three Dual Ball Bearing Fans, Retail Box.

Actually I'm glad you started this thread. I'd like to get the best PS I can for about $30-40. Anyone have any recommendations? My POS died, and i want to replace it with something decent.

BTW, I saw the thread from not too far back about a $28.50 power supply from a shady vendor who has since gone out of stock. Was that supply any good, I believe it was an "Achieve" which I've never heard of...

best bang for the buck power supply easily = sparkle 300 or 350w, do a search, you'll find lots of good info about them they're great!

ya get a sparkle from newegg. I plan on getting one soon also. My comp is underpowered
I cant gam ewith it!

Right now. I have a codengen 450Watt is that bad or. should it make a diffrents if I switch to a lower power one. that you all are talking about.

a sparkle 350 watt would probably power better....

Anyone have a less expensive alternative to recommend?

L&C or Raidmax? I've seen those quite economically. SVC has the POWmax 400w for $15 and the L&C 350 for $20.

Ended up getting a fortron from newegg for $32 w/free shipping. I read a positive review of it at Tom's hardware, and they found it to actually produce about 390 watts. Before you start, I know, I know, but not everything on Tom's site is crap and it's within my budget--plus it's from Newegg. Aaaanyhow, thanks for the advice guys.
