Well I had the thread on hiding it. We all got started on security issues..so I decided to start a thread on stuff.

Well at school I am going to be running F@H on at least two of the labs, and because we have a sonic wall firewall. we are going to open 8080 to the stanford servers. and with dhcp i am not worried about a security issue. and with the computers locked down. why could this be a problem.

and please post your issues here.

Because you are aware of the presence of the program, and most likely keeps an eye on their workings and doings.

I'll say... no problem.

Ofcourse, the BAOFH in me would always go "another port opened, is another hole in the security". But since you're not a bank, I'll let that issue be.

Cheers, Flixotide
