DSL with no MSN soft, how?

Is there any way to run MSN DSL without all that soft they give you on the install disk? How to set it up?
Thanks.

DSL does not require any special software, as NAT routers can connect just fine without special software. Maybe MSN needs software to set up the connection, but I am almost certain that it would not need software just to keep a connection open. Try dumping the MSN stuff and seeing if it still works.

MSN just like all of the other ISPs require the use of PPPoE (Point to Point Protocol over Ethernet) to authenicate to their network. Most, if not all of the router/switches have PPPoE capability, and require no special software, or creation of a Network Connection.
