Angry 100-133 FSB Jumper setting

I have a FIC - AZ11E mobo. an on the board it has a jumper setting 100 - 133 FSB . I have a 1.1 Athlon 200 fsb, Alpha PAL6035 heatsinf with DELTA 38 cfm fan. Im runing it jumpered at 100 FSB X 11 . I would like to try an run it at 133 FSB before i unlock my CPU. Ive try to run 133x 7 133x8 133x9 an computer will not start. doing something wrong?? Is it better to run at 100 or 133 FSB. Just got the 1.1 Athlon and doesnt run any faster then the 800 duron O/C at 900 i took out. Any help would be great THANKS

You'll need to unlock the cpu first, you can't change the multi until you do, a 350+ oc on that chip may be stretching it a bit. Also what mem do you have, pc100 or 133?

You can alway's try it without unlocking it, your mem will be fine though. If it wont boot with the stock multi then youll have to unlock it and lower it. On the older cpu's like this you would be doing good to get 250-300mhz more out of it. My old tbird 950 couldn't even hit 1200mhz, so you'll never know untill you try.

1330 is a good bet, but if you only change the fsb to 133 you'll be running at 1463 with the 11x stock multi.

Have you found the problem yet? You might try to clear the cmos, and see what happens. If it still won't boot, move the jumper back to 100fsb, leaving the other settings the way they are, if it boots you know the cpu is ok. If it don't boot then recheck all your settings and make sure something wasn't overlooked.

Weasel I think i found the problem . I think its the mobo . I searched O/C forms for FIC AZ11E mobo and found a lot of other people with the same board and with same problem . Im goin to buy a Asus A7n8x Deluxe an the fic board is going to be a target to sight in my rifle next hunting sesson. By the way i see u have a A7n8x DX board . How do u like it so far . Thanks for the input .
Im new to o/c forms but i think its the greatest thing since sliced bread . O "previous Avatars" Nine boat !!

This asus is a great board, the only complaint is that to get to 200fsb or higher you need to do a chipset mod. It's fairly easy, you can check out nikhsub1's guide for it HERE

If you use the hot glue method, the mod can be removed with no trace - just in case it needs to be rma'd.
I found that pick of the "redneck express" some where on the web, used to have a full sized pic, but lost it some where. You could always use the board for a rig for folding or seti.

Folding is a program that uses your computer to basically build proteins for scientific research. You can read more about F@H here

Seti is a program used to search for extrterestrial life. You can read more about Seti here

In the AZ11E/EA, I'm really not sure what the jumper does, but remember that you can always set the FSB in the BIOS in much smaller increments than 33 MHz. I think the jumper only controls the default FSB. Just go to the bios and change the FSB/PCI setting from the default one. Something like 110 would seem reasonable.

I had my 1 gig Athlon (133 FSB) overclocked to 1070 (143x7.5). The jumper is set to 133.
