Hi Peopple I have a problem a wondering if you guys can help.

I currently own 4 hard drives (3x40Gb + 1x 15Gb) and am buying a 120Gb one to be able hold the increasing number of divX movies I own.
I've decided to move my 4 existing drives outside od the case and am gonna build an aluminium housing for them and my current 300watt psu and am going to get a 400watt psu for everything else (a lot of stuff).
Now will that work? Does the psu require that it be attatched to a mobo?

Should I just build a small divX server?

Help guys

Thanks Will

There is many ways to approach the solution. the way i would go is this. use an old AT PSU for your hard drives. the reason is this. the PSU comes on with a switch. it you want to get fancy you could EASYLY rig the AT psu to turn whe the comp is on. get a relay. do you want specifics?

i think you can use a relay so that both the PSu's come on at the same time when u switch on the comp, its not hard to do.
