Welcome to forums Ajack

Is that the 60mm delta on a heat sink? If it is you might try a 80mm to 60mm adaptor. The 80 puts about the same cfm without the high rpm's.

Welcome to the forums.

There are several sound-deadening products available. Here's an example;
http://www.b-quiet.com/

Styrofoam, carpet padding, and even cardboard can be used as sound deadeners.
You can use rubber or nylon washers or grommets for mounting case fans, and nylon screws for drive mounting.
The most effective is rheostatically controlling your fans, but as you don't want to reduce fan speed, not an option.

from what i've read, tornados will take you in the oppisite direction you want to go in...they are very loud, i've heard good about antec and sunon, 30dba's are pretty quiet fans, and 40 moderate~RCTG

Yeah Tornados are not the answer to your solution. That's like hitting you head against a wall to make you stubbed toe not hurt. Go with another type of fan - any other fan.

Yeah i think i will try the 60-80mm fan adapter next . I put tiny rubber o rings under my fan as per STOOL sugestion and it helped alot .but the real deal is the case is up on my desk 3 ft. from my head because i have a window in the side an im always in the case doin something. Also i think i will try to find extentions for all my cables an move it a little further away. Now i have to find a 80mm fan with the most cfm with the least dbs. Another thing im new to this forum and how are u putting the cool little pictures under your name??

The cool little pictures are called avatars. I think you have to have at least 50 posts before you can have one. If you asked this question in the forum comments and suggestion section you will get a for sure answer.

Good luck with the quite PC quest. Its not a easy thing to do and still OC. Like mentioned above 30 to 35 dbs is what you are looking for.
