i was surprised to see this stuff too, but they also wanted like $40 for a $3 piece of plexi and some rubber moulding AKA "pc window kit".

heh, that's where i'll be working (customer service). i just need to take a drug test (like i'm not going to pass ) then i start working

i was surprised to find Lian-Li cases at CompUSA, a PC-7 for $99 isn't a bad deal (better price then newegg) but tax would make the price the same after you pay for shipping from newegg.

edit: if anyone is intrested in the Lian-Li case here's a link for it http://www.compusa.com/products/prod...087&pfp=SEARCH
it doesn't say which model it is but i'm 99% sure it's a PC-7

They've been selling that stuff here since late Fall last year, but it's all over priced (still cheaper online after shipping for most items).

My only gripe is their return policy... If you so much as BREAK A SEAL on the box, you can't return the item. They sold me the wrong length USB cables (dude told me it was 6 feet, turned out to be 12 inches) but would let me return it the NEXT DAY.

*sigh*

I would only shop at Fry's for their awesome RMA and return policies and awesome (for retail) prices. Their customer service is one of the best around.

Let's see, I've returned a cd rom, a usb card, cat5 cable, and speakers all opened and only once they charged the restocking fee.

Yeah, but CC is will PM if CompUSA has it in stock still. And they will actually help you rather than having to wait on some idiot who is covering 3 customers at once. That's not true with ALL compusa folks, but enough so that I end up teaching the guy something 75% of the time. CC also has that 30-day no questions thing. Pretty neat. I was worried about the MP3 player I was considering buying for my wife, and so I got it there. Decent price, and I knew I could return it if she didn't like it. No shipping, no RMA, no restock. Pretty neat IMHO.

Best Buy is the worst for CS. If you need help with something forget it. I asked about the refresh rate on a 17" monitor I was buying for a friend and the guy looked at me like I had 2 heads. He had no clue. I had to ask the dufus to show me the box so I could see what it said. (1024x768@100 hz or something similar). What a "jack-posterior."

My CompUSA is a laugh, I know more about taht stuff than 90% of there staff, I mainly go in there when I need a good laugh and just listen in when they are trying to sell something to some poor customer. There was one guy who couldn't even get the side panel off of an Antec case they had there. I wonder what he thought that that nice handle on the side was for.
