To me, that seems more complicated and dangerous than modding the chip.

I'm comfortable with unlocking the L1's and L5's, and even blowing bridges on the CPU with voltage, but I'm not comfortable with modding my motherboard, it cost much more than my CPU's

I was really hesitant to mod my motherboards during the first few times I did voltage mods on them (albeit they were all single CPU boards) but I think this **should** probably work and looks to be a lot easier than any soldering.

I might try it after I get the cooling upgraded on my dual. Currently my XP's are maxed at 12x138 due to cooling limitations (I don't want them above 50C at load). My RAM (Crucial PC2100) can't handle any more FSB either without some adjustable vcore.

Once I build a new primary box (most likely to be Hammer, July/August timeframe) I might take the time to do some mods on my K7D.
