Corrupt Windows Update ?

Anybody know whats going on ? On the 11 feb I checked the Windoze Update and found 4 critical , looked at them and found 3 applied to my machine. Installed and went about my business . One of them was a IE6 service pac, IE6 started crashing. I finaly used system restore and went back to the day before , now when I check updates it shows the same ones , I won't reinstall service pac for IE6, and the other two 811630, 810577 won't install ......... I noticed other posts on these CRITICAL updates have caused probs .... has anyone figured it out ?

OK after much cursing , hair pulling, and great gnashing of teeth I found some good info on the problem . Here is a quote from Binks Windows XP site.........

" Yesterday MS re-released the last cumulative patch for IE. It seems that users wern't able to acces some websites including MSN users trying to read their mail via webaccess:

"This update fixes an issue caused by the February 2003, Cumulative Patch for Internet Explorer (810847) where users could potentially be unable to log into MSN mail accounts or authenticate with a web site in various programs. For more information please see KB article 813951".

For those not familar see this http://winxp.bink.nu site for more info. Hope this helps ....... wish I'd found it sooner when I had a little hair left.
