Here is the recurring prob.
Whenever I hook up my CD writer to my main rig I get freeze's in all my video applications?
Basically both rigs have k7s5a mobos...2nd rig has a 16x12x40 burner. This rig has no probs!....on occasion I use the burner in my main rig..when I hook it up all is well unless I use video applicatiosn like MPEGS or games. Thats when I get lock ups!
Before hooking up the burner my rig runs fine. I took out the burner and now I get lock ups. What has worked in the past it to set "optimal settings" in bios or "performance"....switching to one of those seems to solve the prob..but npt today!
What the hell causes my system to lock up by switching cd roms?
Am I the only one who gets this?
Any ideas?
