screen saver problem

this one has been going on for a while now, but it acts very randomly. Sometimes, when my screen saver kicks in, and the monitor goes into power saving mode, I can't get out of it. Move the mouse, nothing, Ctrl Alt Del, nothing, enter nothing.... only can restart. sometimes it just turns the monitor to power saving right in the middle of something as well. I know its not the monitor as this happened with my old monitor as well.

I'm running 98 with a gainward ge force3 ti200 up to ti 500 (see sig). Any thoughts?

Windows 98 power saving features never worked well 4 me..I used 2 get similar problems as u and ended up just turning the features off.
