I posted this last week but didnt get a clear answer.

Each time i boot up from cold i get an error saying Bios checksum error.
If i force power off and switch on again and go into bios all settings have reset to default.
if i reset back to normal settings and restart the machine works fine.
I have heard something about cold boots before and have to switch it on a few times.
Is this power supply rated.
It is a CWT Chainwell Technology 450w, actual wattage is 250w.
12v = 12.5, 5v = 4.94 - 5.01, 3.3v - 2.9 - 3.01

Regards

Could be, but I doubt it.. some nForce2 boards are acting up strange on cold boot, I'd suggest that you try to update the BIOS and see if that helps.

Still getting these effing Bios checksum errors on cold boots.
Have done chipset voltage mod but doesnt seem to have made any difference.
Any advise please.

I think bg has the best answer to your problem. From the sound of it you cmos batt is dead, the checksum error you're getting would be because you processor ins't the factory default. I think if you go drop $10 on a new bat you should be fine.
