Transfer Rate between A7N8X Del and Epox 8rda+

Can someone explain to me why when ghosting a image of
my hardrive with 8rda+ the rate is 1300 mb/m when using
my new Asus A7N8X Del with same hardware and software
the rate is 260 mb/m BTW the hardrives are master 120gig
8mb buffer the slave is 80gig 8mb buffer what gives I'm ready
to rma the Asus back to Newegg.

Are you using the -ntc- switch in both cases?

No switches whatsoever. I have Asus scratching their heads

Beats me - I just ghosted one drive directly to another not long back and it was going about 1gig/m with each drive as master on both channels and no cdroms connected.

Have you tried having each drive on a separate channel? Having both drives on the same channel will slow the transfer rate between the 2 drives...

The drives are on the same channel one is a 120gig wd 8mb buffer 80gig 8mb buffer.

my old dragon used to run 1000+ a sec and my asus is also turd slow at like 200 a sec. I tried running a promise tx2 ata 100 card in my machine and it always gave me errors with the asus board... kinda a pain. I am waiting for the 40gb sata drives from wd so I can go raid 0 with two of them hehehe.

Try putting them on SEPERATE channels, that should speed transfer between them.
