Does this sound about right?

On my 2100+ I'm running 12 x 200mhz for 2400mhz but if I increase the fsb it gets unstable and runs the risk of hard drive corruption. So lets say 200mhz is the highest i can go on the fsb but I was trying to reach 2500mhz or better. With water cooling would it allow me to raise the multiplier and not run the risk of HD corruption(if the chip has anything left)? I may be able to raise the multiplier now but on air I don't want to get too crazy with it.

You will not corrupt the hard disk unless your fsb it runs on is too far out of spec. So, the multiplier will have no effect on the hard drive corruption issue, only the fsb does.

I know raising the fsb increases heat output linearly and raising vcore raises heat output a lot more. So if raising the multi requires you to put more vcore in then i might be concerned. What vcore are you at now though? Otherwise I would say it's not like raising the multi on your chip will make it explode immediatly. So, I would raise it, boot into bios and check your temps.

heat does not cause HD corrpution...so no, will not help you save a HD

Right now at 2400mhz my cpu temp is around 35-36C according to USDM and MBM although I'm pretty sure they're both a few degrees off although my probe that I put under the heatsink for my front display says 35-36C too so it may be right. My vcore is 1.85v. So if this chip has 2500mhz in it, i should be able to run 12.5 x 200mhz or maybe even 13 x 200mhz and only need to worry about my cpu temps right? Maybe try 1.95v or so for that?
