Cant boot into Win XP Pro

When i turn on it POSTs then it says:

Verifying DMI Pool Data (<- as normal)

F1 . . . ??
F2 . . . ??
F3 . . . ??
F4 . . . ??
Default: F?


Then i press any of F1-F5 and it comes up with this:

!!!Warning!!!
Disc boot sector is to be modified
Type "Y" to accept, any key to abort
Award Software, Inc.

Then whatever i press (including Y) it goes back to the F1 . . .? thing.


Help!

Boot sector virus?

I'd reformat (including the MBR) and start from scratch again.........

Repair the master boot record by using the FIXMBR command from the Windows XP Recovery Console.
