USB Problems

Hello,
During the past week or so I have been having problems with my USB devices where after about 1hr of the computer being booted up, the devices (Scanner and Webcam) just switch off, or rathe Win2k acts as if the devices are no longer connected to the machine.
I am clueless and the problem has only been present for a short while.

Help Please!

System Information if its relevant:

Windows 2000 Pro. With SP2
AMD Athlon 900Mhz
256MB SDPC133 RAM
Abit KT7a Mobo

Thank in advance...

I am having the same problem with my RCA USB Cable modem. It just shuts off when it wants to and I have to re-boot it to see a good connection, (just like dial-up..arghhh). I have seen less frequent times this happens with removing all tape-back-up files in my harddrives and registry. This is a fix I seen on a Europeon website last month. The main file is called DRVWQ117.vxd. good luck!!
