Well, I am not surprised to see that AMD is taking this course of direction but I am not sure of the relevancy of it in relation to overclockers.
On the one hand, 400mhz sounds very alluring as it means that at stock speed we will be able to run DDR400 in sync with the CPU.
But, that may or may not allow many overclocking options to us enthusiasts.
What really interests me is that it has a guaranteed 400mhz bus, these chips may very well need to be taken from the center of the wafer to guarantee that 400mhz bus. And center wafer chips are almost always much better overclocking chips. I guess we are going to find out soon enough, there will be plenty of reviews, and plenty of talk.
Maybe we will finally get the ubiquitous 2.6ghz on air that was almost shoved down our throats with the release of the t-bred and t-bred B...
I think my sub 1ghz slot a athlon still has the life in it to make it to May
