if you have the 1002 bios installed try going to an earlier bios, or the 1002a, I have read that the sensor Ic was wrong in the original 1002 final, if not then the best I can think off the top of my head is to reseat the sink

When i had my 1700+ pally the bios read 21c for the cpu which is well wrong.
Now with my Tb 2100 it shows 58-66c
It must read it different on both chips but both are wrong.
Malc.

How hot should the die get anyway.?

never ever ever ever believe temps from bios or asus probe my bios says im at 90c and 200+f yet probe in windows says 29c.... the temp i trust? The one coming from my compunurse digital probe, id suggest you get one, just stick a small piece of tape on the end and put the probe in between cpu and heatsink. It reads 32c which is right..

Even if you have the end of the probe touching the side of the core, it will read some 7-10C lower than an on die reading...
