just bought a dlink switch on the classifieds...really cheap as it didn't come with the power cable.
the back of the switch says it needs 5vdc, 2.4 amps. I think I'm going to have trouble finding an AC/DC adapter to deliver that much amperage.
since it's 5 volts, I should be able to wire it to the PSU of my router (see sig)...right?
IIRC, the router has a 180 watt PSU. There's nothing in this box but the mobo, proc, 2 nics, and a floppy.
do you guys think the PSU could take the load?
