Transparancy in XP

Alright, this may sound like it should be in XP, but im thinking not.

I'm looking for a way to make my background 100% transparant, but by not making the icons transparant at the same time.

So, if i were to open up win explorer, how can i make it so that my hard drive icons and text are 100% visible, and the white background not visible at all?
