Theres no monitor forums, so i thought best to ask here: What could cause Ghosting? [small 'bright' shadowing]?

is it a lcd or a crt? on lcd's it is caused by having a refresh or whatever of 25ms or higher. wait, pixel response time i think is what its called... on a crt i dunno

On a crt it's likely due to overdriven signal resulting from a mixture of strong signal coming from the video card coupled with brightness set too high on the monitor.

Lower your brightness until the ghosting goes away (fully away) and then use the contrast control to correct the color / light-dark situation.

Its a CRT, Ive tried with brightness etc... the time its most evident is when typing in the quick reply bit here at them bottem, its a white shaddow on the text in the text box, i phoned up Mitsubishi earlyer, and there replacing it monday for me [they have next business day 3 year swap-out warranty] so im getting a new one anyhow.
