A7V133 wont overclock...HELP

My freinds A7V133 wont overclock...WHAT COULD BE WRONG!?!?!?!? He has 256mb PC133, a T-Bird 850, and a damn good cooler....if i change the bus from 100 to just 101 it wont boot, ive tried hardware and software but no luck. Please HELP!!!!

is the processor unlocked?

i know people will say "he changed the FSB, he doesnt need to unlock it should boot"

but with my duron 850 on this very same board (see system below) i had the same problem, and i HAD to unlock the processor to do ANY sort of overclocking
after i unlocked, BAM
