barton help

What's different about the barton? Why is it so freakin expensive?

What's different is the 512 cache. I think the core is the same as the tbreds but not positive. They're expensive because they're the newest thing from AMD. Their prices will drop soon, but how much is anybody's guess.

thanks. i think i'll probably go with one of the xp+ chips for now but... which one and which mobo is up in the air, ive been hearing lots of good things about nf7, asus a7n8x deluxe and 8rda+ though it sounds like 8rda+ is on its way out...

i don't want to have to solder on my board or use any silly conductive pens for anything. i want a simple oc, ie. no magic tricks involved.

Me personally, I would get the 8rda. It's cheap and it overclocks great.
