My friend wants me to build him a budget system for the soal purpose of running autocad, i'm under the impression that it'll take a P4 not a celeron...an Athlon not a duron...how would a TNT fit in an xp1700 system (or so) again, just for running autocad.

should run good, as long as your using ddr and at the minimum 512 of it preferrably at leas ddr333 (pc2700) ....just my .02 :)

Here's what i've got so far

Antec case w/ 300 watt smart power PSU

cheap samsung 52x CD rom

cheap sony floppy

60gig WD se drive (7200rpm 8mb cache)

Kingston PC2700 32x64, 512mb (one stick)

! SOLTEK SL-75FRN-L, nForce2...(recomend something here i know nothing about AMD boards 'cept that the nforce2 kicks ***)

xp2000 retail

If the TNT 2 is good enough i'll just give him that, and i'll sell him one of my monitors 'less he wants to buy a new one

All of that including shipping $446...seems dandy to me
