2500 barton rig VS 2500 xp rig...

2500mhz or 2500PR? if its pr then wont they perform pretty similar, the barton has a lower clock but more l2 yes, but the tbred has a higher clock speed, and wouldnt it balance out, like the pr indicates?
 
MHz for MHz a Barton has about a 4% increase over a T-Bred. The added L2 didn't do as much for the Barton as it did for the P4 because the Barton's pipe to the L2 is only 64 bits wide, while the P4's is 128.
 
if you mean by a 2500 Barton you mean the 1833Mhz version then compared to a hypothetical XP2500 Tbred (I know it doesnt exist) then the two over the range of benchmarks determined by AMD should be the same.
