is DDR 3700 just DDR 3500 with relaxed Timings?

I was thinking of getting some DDR 3700 to try in Dual Channel.

I can get my Kingston stuff to 229 on the FSB and it works every single time (I have 1.95 volts on the northbridge via a Vdd mod) I can bench mark on memtest sometimes at this speed, and I can pass 3dmark at 219...
all dual channel.

so I am wondering, perhaps my ram simply doesn't want to give any more, cause it does nearly the same, when in single channel mode.

so I was thinking of trying DDR 3700 in DC-DDR mode, for the hell of it really.

just I am wondering, if the ram is only labled DDR 3700, but it's only DDR 3500 with relaxed timings.
if thats the case, it probably wouldn't do any better then my current DDR 3500...

anyone know for a fact if the Geil or OCZ ram is actually DDR 3700 with 4.3 NS ram, or does it have the 4.5 NS ram?

The OCZ 3700EL is rated @ CAS2.5 8-4-4 if I remember correctly. My assumption is that it is the same as 3500 EL type that passed some type of test.
I have OCZ 3500EL 512MB single stick. I can do 215 FSB 4-3-3-2 @ 2.7v 3D stable (3DMarksSE Bench Looping). After 185 or 190, I can't do trcd=2.

From what I know the OCZ PC3700 uses 4.5ns chips and needs 2.7v +-5%. The OCZ PC3500 EL is also 4.5ns chips and uses 2.5v +-5%. I just ordered PC3500 EL. I'm hoping it performs like the PC3700 since all logic would say so. 4.3ns chips aren't out yet. Twinmos has some coming out soon. but not yet. Remind to ask me how it performs when I get it.

"What motherboard is this in?"

This is on an Abit NF7-S rev1.2. I also ran the memory ASYNC and @ 6-3-3-2 the mem tops @ 220. This is running memtest86 for 8 hours. Hope you get better luck than me.
