Has anyone ever attempted to put wood faceplates on drives? I have so far made a 120mm fan guard and an inlet screen assembly with some 1/4" aspen and latex clear coat. I am going to start my attempt at wooden faceplates today, so if anyone has any tips or tricks let me know.

Peace,

MooT

I've seen some nice all-wooden cases out there.

Sounds like you're just doing the front bezel? Haven't seen that done yet :)

I am doing a wooden bezel for the front fan inlet, the top exhaust fan, and the two rear exhaust fans. I will also make wooden pushbuttons for the power and reset switch and also faceplates for my cd, zip, and floppy drives. I also repainted the case with blue hammerite paint. I'll post some pics as soon as I can.

Peace,

MooT
