Yeah, they've got some awesome deals going, if I weren't working on saving for a down payment on a new car, I'd be after the 17" LCD and that 180GB HDD.

Maybe when the 20th anniversary sale rolls round I'll be in better shape.. ;)

I saw the ad yesterday.

I was going to go, but 20 miles away is too far for nothing that I desperatly need.

i just came back from cusa. i picked up the envision 17" monitor for $89 after MIR. be warned this monitor is not the greatest. the edges of the picture aren't quite straight and can't be fixed with the menu options. but for the average comp user it would be fine. I don't think it will bother me much once i get used to it. anything beats my old hp monitor from 3 years ago.

i was also going to pick up the $29 hp printer but they were sold out. I saw tons of people hitting up the free after rebate stuff. i saw alot of people getting an emachines pc for $299 also. looked like an OK deal for non-hardcore comp users. would be perfect for people who just need a surfing machine.

Im so ****sed. They had all sorts of fliers out for a sale that had the dual optical mouse I wanted for 20 bucks, which is th ebest ive seen. Then they told me that it expired yesterday. ****ing ***** mongers could learn the **** how to run a store and stop being lazy asses leaving pile sof fliers in racks. They now join the likes of stores such as Office Max that I am never going to again.

the store over @ tigrad beaverton is so packed. The wireless router I wanted was gone by the time I got there. The manager said it was gone in 10 minutes LOL.

The store was packed. To make things worse the registers broke and weren't printing out any rebate forms!!

Anyhow, I got just about one of everything for me and my fam. The 180gb wd was a big seller. Finally got the d*** thing working. Who knew you can't use any other drives on the mb IDE when you want to format it...? Good deal on UPS. And the 200 cd capacity holders were a killer deal! I now have a place to put all those CD's I burn. My backups will now be orgainzed rather than sitting in a CD-r spindle!

What did everybody else get?

I was there at 10 after 6 and it was nuts. N-U-T-S. I've never seen that many people in CompUSA at once. The only thing I could find that I might have wanted would have been the 17" LCD - the model actually was a Kogi L7EH that actually has a decent response time.everything else that had good prices was either junky looking or wasn't something I needed/wanted.

They really pushed the limits here in Grand Rapids.
They started the sale with only a couple of the wireless routers, of course they were gone in 2 minutes.
But they didn't miss a beat to be sure. The shelf was crowded on all sides (2 isles) with non-sale routers for $100-$299.

Bait and switch is fraud.

Plus anyone notice the prices on the non-sale items? Holy cow, talk about mark-up! You cannot tell me this was purely accidental. I think I'm done going there (not that I shop there much anyway).

I was going to get the 1.3 megapixel digital camera for $30 after rebates, but decided not to.

I got one of those Kogi's last time on sale.. I'm glad I purchased it. It's a pretty good monitor..

What other store I can that has Kogi I can pricematch with? I don't want MIR. I don't like sales with MIR. It's not a real sale. They pick you pocket, then you have to ask for the money back.
