It said what like $150 for 30gigs.

I wouldn't buy it yet though.

Price aside, I can't help but remain skeptical about noise and heat/reliability issues. High pitched squealing was reported and that's exactly the most annoying sound by far.

From a performance standpoint, it's quite good... I was surprised to see such a big difference between beta and final product.

These SATA drives will evolve to be the drive of choice. The release of larger capacity drives is probably not far off. Competition will drive the costs down. Highpoint already has an external/internal SATA (1542) controller available now and they will add RAID5 shortly.
