Shadowbane

So what does everyone think of Shadowbane?

Last time I paid attention to it, it was just entering Alpha testing. Then recently I read that it's being released on the 25th? Wowsers...

Is it worth playing?

If you can ge tthe game to run smooth, I think it might be worth it. I am beta testing it and the new server/s they've added have no lag for me anymore! YAY no more 30k pings. I just really hoep that they can tweek the game for performance a little more. even at low settings I get p00p fps. Another big problem is that the world is seemless as far as I know and when it loads new landscape (fairly often) it brings you down to like 2fps for 5-20secs. But who knows maybe i'm just stupid. also the game does not like the Cat3.1s or 3.2s for all the radeon peeps out there, the text will be all f'ed up and they still don't have the wierd purple flashing interface bug fixed as far as I know.

here is my system

p4 2.4b at 3.06
512mb corsair twinx 3200
radeon 9500-->9700 mod
asus p4pe
SB Extigy.

PS: The Game Does actually look much better in-game than in the screens. But there is no excuse for a game engine this outdated to run so poopie on high-end equipment.

I tried very hard to like Shadowbane but failed. Just couldnt get past the lousy graphics and having to mouse click the ground to move...

If they fixed the massive lag and all the bugs it would be a lil better atleast, think i'll go give it another try in a few.

Yeah same here. If people are having lag type problems on their computers (with xp1700s and up), imagine what the "seamless" feature of the game is going to be like with my t-bird.
