wtf? can't choose direct3d in CS

i just recently installed CS and all of the mods but i cant choose direct 3d under configuration/video modes!!!

it only has OpenGL and Software as selection. i have a PNY GF4200 8xAGP and i even tried installing the newer 43.00 drivers
but that didn't help.

is there a .cfg where i can manually set it to direct3d? the option
is not even available when i go to configuration.

any help would be great.

d3d sucks for CS.....you want ogl

oh alright, i just remember using D3D for some reason....

D3D is there for me, but i fyou use it, the game visuals go fubar

i have d3d in options and it sucks .. always run in opengl like others suggested
