Tabor ll

Hi,

I'm a bit interested in the possibility to o/c , but there is some questions that I have.
My computer is a Gateway G6450 (Oh no, - I bet some of you said right now!?) Anyway, The things that I know at this time is:
CPU is a Pll450
Memory is 128Mb pc100
Video card is a STB Velocity 4400 No TV (bios 1.10)
M/B is a Tabor ll with 440BX chipset
Bios is Phoenix (4W4SBOXO.15A.0018.P14 )

Is it possible to get the FSB to over 100 Mhz ?
There were no manual on the M/B when I bought the Computer, and when I look in the Bios setup there is no changes to make on CPU speed or FSB speed.

Is there something I can try?

hey erik, anyways I've been having the same exact problem you are having. I have the G6-450 with the tabor II mobo. Maybe we can work this out together. Anyways, I've been looking all over with no success of finding info on making changes to the fsb. I beleive that the pII's have locked cpu multipliers so to overclock we must up the fsb. I'll post back when i find more information.

I have a gateway w/same mbd but has a PIII 750. I jumpered the pins to enter maitaince mode and my only option is to clear passwords. I unfortunately have not seen the option to o/c since a PII 300. I was wondering if you got your 450 to o/c and if so how did you get it to work. Thanks

cptrescu - Are you sure you don't have a tabor III ?? did you system come with that 750 cause if it did it's a tabor III witch by the way is just a gateway code name for the board. they are made by jabild with a intel 440/bx chipset. anyway I had a gateway Essential 550 and it had the tabor III. but I took the 550 and put it with thte oother one in my dual box and bought a new mobo for the gateway ans put my celeron 700 into it

Burly- Thanx for the info. I am not sure what is going on. It is a Tabor III, my mistake. Anyway, I am still trying to o/c this 750 (all original equip so far), but the bios is not allowing me to, even in configure mode. I am sort of stuck here. I am attempting to gather the thoughts of other people who managed to o/c their gateway machines.
