hey, i was wondering abuot how it might be possible to rig a Computer-inside-a-Briefcase with a rechargeable powersource that would provide the correct voltages etc?

Stedeman's project inspired me to ask :p

Ohh !

On first approach. If you take a standard PC - 200 watts
approx consumption - not even the screen. Give it 1 hour usage = 200 Ah .
This is the rating for a small car battery (not a small thing).
SO - everything in the case needs to lean towards lower
power consumption.
The easiest way to rig it is to use a inverter (12 volts in
and mains out) they are sold for caravan use. The inverter would then feed your standard Power Supply.

I am not trying to put you off. THe MicroATX power supplies
are only 140 Watt - so those micro - all-in-one boards must
have a low consumption.

Have fun :)
