Abit BX133-RAID - How is it?

I was just wondering how the Abit BX133-RAID is, I want to upgrade my board and I want to stay BX and P3. How is this board?

I had one and sold it. I broke a MoBo and I have a few Epox BX7+100's. The abit board was very cranky and was just a pain in the ass.

Go to this site:
http://www.epox.com/html/english/products/motherboard/ep-bx7+100.htm

and check it out. I just bought a VP6 so I have one of these laying around if you might be intrested. E-mail me at c_ramseyer@hotmail.com. If you are not intrested in mine then fo to pricewatch and pick one up and save 40 bucks over that **** that you were going to buy.

I got one and it is a very good mobo. It has ata100, raid support and 4 IDE channels. It is fast and reliable and can adjust fsb by 1mhz increment making it one of the best BX board there is out there.

I built a box for my boss with that board, and a PIII 733, and a 3dprophet 2 gts, and it is a sweet setup, it has never given him any trouble, although he is not a clocker...but the board IS running at 133mhz, because of the default speed of the 733, and it has proven to be a stable system, he also has a Richo dvd/cdrw combo, and a pair of Maxtor ata100 30g, and a pioneer true 52x cd, and aHollywood dvd card,in a Inwin Q500. All this is running win2k NTFS.
I built the system when the BX133 RAID first came out, and it still is a joy to run, according to my boss...dvd playback is smooth as silk.
If bx performance is what you want, there's none more up to the job, although they can be tricky to setup, but the manual is well writen, and easy to understand.
Personaly I like the 815e chipset, like the SE6, as it has more options to play with.
Good Luck on your choice
