In addition to that information though, people really need to know how to use that information. For computer water cooling use, the peak pressure head is typically far more important than the peak rated flow rate.

My personal idea of a good computer water-cooling pump is one that offers >15' of pressure head, pushes just 150-300gph while in wide-open mode, and consumes less than 60W.

The Iwaki MDxx-RZ pumps are excellent pumps in that respect.

Depends on the pump. The Iwakis in particular are known for putting VERY little heat into the system no matter the power consumption rating. The bigger pumps have active cooling. The casing of the Iwakis get hotter than the devil but like I said, they transfer very little heat to the water. Other pumps may not be as well insulated and may transfer a lot of heat to the water, it really depends on the individual pump.
