MP3 Project with HDD

I was wondering if anyone can post any info they have about ide hard drives, I already know ALOT about these, i have been studying them but i need more knowledge because i still can't Initialize my HDD with my PIC Microchip, I am using a Segate 8 Gb and a Maxtor 20 GB

it would probably help if you told what you were going to do with the hard drives, and what information you needed. Also, use the search, because you might find something useful.

you looked on the seagate and maxtor websites? they ahve a lot of developer information on there. theres some in your instruction manual too.
